my very straightforward and short recommendation for choosing one over the other.

RRSPs or TFSAs both allows you to make tax-free investments. As a reminder, non-TFSA or non-RRSP investments made on international markets are all taxable!

Choose The RRSP if...

You have a good salary!
You are planning to buy a house in the near future.

TFSA for everything else!
